This lesson introduces students to the process of solar water disinfection (SODIS) while helping them to understand how important access to clean water is for our community and environment.

Then, using a micro:bit, students will code the micro:bit’s light sensor to detect the presence of sunlight. After 6 hours of light exposure, the LEDs are used to let the community know the water is now safe to drink!
