Climate Change and Our Busy Bee Friends
What’s Happening to the Bees?
Our planet is getting warmer due to pullulation, this warming called climate change, is causing trouble for bees. Because the Earth is heating up, flowers are starting to bloom at different times. This confuses bees because the flowers they eat are not ready when they expect them to be.
Also, the weather is getting weirder. This can ruin the homes of bees and make it hard for them to find food. Some bees even have to leave their homes and move somewhere else to find the right flowers. But moving is hard, and not all bees can do it fast enough.
Why This Matters for Everyone
With fewer bees around, there are fewer of them to pollinate plants. This means not as many plants can grow, including the ones we eat, like fruits and vegetables. Fewer plants also mean less clean air for us to breathe. So, helping bees is really important for keeping our ecosystems healthy and making sure we have plenty of food.
