Technology can make composting faster and easier. For example, solar-powered compost tumblers use sunlight to power a motor that spins the tumbler to mix in air. It can also check the temperature and moisture levels of the compost. These tools help us make sure the decomposers are happy in their environment and can break down the food scraps quickly!
Today, we are going to build our own solar-powered compost tumbler prototype. This project will also introduce you to some of the work that Waste Management Specialists do to reduce waste and protect the environment.
