Now that you’ve explored the structure of all Climate Action Kit lessons, it’s time to start building and coding your first project! Depending on your experience level, choose the course that’s right for you:

Option 1: Coding with micro:bit and MakeCode

If you’re brand new to the micro:bit or block-based coding, this course is the perfect place to start. You will:

  • Unpack the main features of the micro:bit
  • explore different types of projects that can be built with the micro:bit
  • write and test block-based code in the MakeCode Editor

Option 2: Build and Code-Along

If you’re ready to dive right into a hands-on project, the Build and Code-Along course is for you. This course features a recorded webinar where you’ll follow along as we build a beginner-friendly Climate Action Kit project together. This option is perfect for those with a little experience with micro:bit who want to learn to extend its capabilities with robotics!

You will:

  • build your first Climate Action Kit project: a coral reef model!
  • experience the lesson as your students would, making it easier to anticipate their challenges
