If you found the previous challenges a touch difficult, you’ll be relieved to know that the MakeCode editor also includes tutorials to guide you every step of the way. These tutorials will help you and your students code without needing to start in an open, blank workspace. Instead, they provide structured, step-by-step instructions to build fun and functional projects with ease.

MakeCode tutorials are perfect for beginners, allowing students to learn independently while you provide guidance and encouragement.

  2. Scroll down to ‘Tutorials’
  3. Click on the tutorial of interest (e.g. Name Tag)

The first row features tutorials like 'Flashing Heart,' 'Name Tag,' 'Smiley Buttons,' 'Dice,' 'Love Meter,' and 'Micro Chat.' The second row showcases tutorials for the new micro:bit (V2), including 'Pet Hamster,' 'Countdown,' 'Morse Chat,' 'Clap Lights,' 'Blow Away,' and 'Cat Napping.'
