Each year, Digital2030 will introduce a new Challenge aligned to a different Sustainable Development Goal inviting youth to critically reflect on how to take action to build a more sustainable future while exploring various ways technology can be utilized ethically.
The 2025 Challenge invites YOUTH (7-22) to consider how we can design and train sustainable Artificial Intelligence (AI) models.
Through this year’s challenge, we’ll be focusing on SDG #13: Climate Action and SDG #7: Affordable and Clean Energy, as well as their connections to SDG #9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. AI has incredible potential for progress, but it also has a significant environmental footprint. It’s up to us to rethink how we use AI and learn how to build it responsibly.
